Today, stainless steel metal has become one of the most used metals in the world. The application of stainless steel extendsto many areas. Now let’s briefly look into the areas, where stainless steel is used. The stainless steel is used for making various tools and devices that we use in our day to day life. For example, sinks, razor blades, knives, cutlery, etc. are some of the items that are made of stainless steel. Stainless steel is easy to clean, which is one of the reason most domestic items are made of stainless steel.
In the field of civil engineering, the stainless steel is used to make things like street furniture, masonry supports, handrails, cladding, etc. As stainless steel is strong, durable and corrosion resistance, the stainless steel has become a reliable alloy/metal for use in building construction.
In the field of transport, stainless steel is used in refuse vehicles, car grilles, ship containers and many more.
Medical industry is one of the industries that have benefitted much through the stainless steel. Today, almost all surgical instruments are made stainless steel. As stainless steel is easy to clean and can maintain high level of hygiene, it is considered as safe metal for making surgical instrument.

The quality of stainless steel may differ depending on the quantity of chromium. The clean and lustrous look also make the stainless to be used in place where aesthetics matter a lot.
